If you're using LightBug GPS trackers for tracking and managing assets (e.g. tracking construction equipment, plant machinery) we recommend the following settings. These are only suggestions, but using them as a guide will help you to get the most our your asset GPS tracker.

Asset GPS Tracker Settings

Account Settings

If you would like to receive regular fixed interval updates, independent of whether the asset is moving or not, we recommend the Standard Data Plan. This is great for long term asset tracking and will generally result in better battery life.

If you would like to receive updates when the asset is moving or an alert when the assets leaves a particular area (e.g. construction site), we recommend the Unlimited Data Plan for monitoring the asset as it enables motion detection.

You can update your data plan
here.
