If you want to use your GPS tracker for your pet (e.g. cat or dog) we recommend the following settings. These are only suggestions, but using them as a guide will help you to get the most out of your pet tracker for your needs.

Pet GPS Tracker Settings

Account Settings

If you would like to receive regular fixed interval updates, independent of whether your pet is on the move, out of the house or lost, we recommend the Standard Data Plan. This plan is great for general pet monitoring and will generally result in better battery life. Please note that the Standard Data Plan allows for up to 6 location updates per day.

If you do not want to be limited to 6 location updates per day, or would like to receive increased updates when your pet leaves a specific area, we recommend the Unlimited Data Plan as it enables motion detection and has no location update restrictions

Note: Neither plan allows for on-demand/real-time tracking. You can find out more about this here.

You can update your data plan here.

Tracker Settings

If you decide that the Standard Data Plan is best for you then follow the steps directly below. If you have selected the Unlimited Data Plan skip to the tracker settings for that plan.

Caution: There may be a delay between your device leaving home and motion detection be re-enabled. Do not use this setting if you need fast alerts.

A few things to note:

  • Settings are automatically saved and will be applied at the next location update. Alternatively, to apply the new settings immediately, press the button on your tracker for 3 seconds
  • The battery life shown is only a estimate and not guaranteed
  • Some variables that affect battery life include: where the device is mounted, poor signal areas, extremely high/low temperatures and motion sensitivity
